Fix my script, not just score it

A finished diagnosis can now rewrite your script section by section, and you decide what it touches. You can also upload a script file instead of pasting it.

New features

Fix my script

A finished diagnosis can now rewrite your script against the problems it found: pick Fix my script and you choose which ones to act on. Each rewritten section appears as it is written, and you keep or discard it one at a time, so your original is kept either way. A rewrite uses credits, and what you keep becomes a script you can edit, copy or download.

Upload your script instead of pasting it

If your script lives in a PDF, a Word file, a text file or Markdown, you can attach it on Fix my script. That saves copying the text across from another app, and the file just needs to be under 10 MB. If we can't read the file, we tell you why before anything comes off your balance.

Enhancements

  • Moving between pages no longer freezes the page you are on for a couple of seconds: each page appears straight away and fills in as your work loads. You can also open a link in a new tab with a middle-click or Cmd-click.
  • Every page now shows a trail of where you are, starting at Home, so getting back is the same move everywhere. It replaces the Back buttons that sometimes went home and sometimes went to the previous screen.
  • Buttons of the same kind now look and sit the same way on every screen, with the main action first. Their backgrounds are darker so the labels are easier to read, and icon buttons are easier to tap on a phone.
  • Recent work now loads ten at a time as you scroll, instead of making you wait while every script, outline and diagnosis you own loads first. Coming back to the home page always lands at the top, with your newest work.
  • A diagnosis now scores only the words you will say on camera. Section headings, word counts, timestamps and your own notes are left out, so they no longer skew your score or turn up in the fixed script.
  • A diagnosis now shows your thumbnail and title laid out like a YouTube search result, so you can judge the packaging you are being scored on. The title gets two lines instead of being cut off after one.
  • On a paid plan, your credit balance now shows what's left of the monthly allowance and the date it comes back, or that a payment failed. Bonus credits are listed on their own, since they never expire.
  • The app now calls your script a script everywhere, rather than a board.

Bug fixes

  • You no longer get signed out in the middle of working and sent back to the sign-in page.
  • On a phone, tapping outside a recent item's menu no longer opens the item, and Rename in that menu now works.
  • A downloaded PDF no longer turns a whole line to gibberish when it has an emoji or non-Latin characters in it.
  • A diagnosis that stalls now puts your credits back, instead of charging you for a report you never got.
